Description
VI Peel – Vitality peel
What is VI Peel
The VI Peel is a skin-resurfacing chemical peel that stimulates collagen and increases cellular turnover to reveal smoother and more radiant skin. This medical-grade chemical peel contains a blend of ingredients that can improve the tone, texture, and clarity of your skin. It is also suitable for all skin types, virtually painless, and has little downtime. The Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel that targets and resurfaces the skin’s top layer. It uses a chemical peel that is applied on the skin, which then creates micro-damage on the outermost layer, causing it to “peel off”. This exfoliates the treated area and promotes new tissue growth.
Another great thing about VI Peel is that it can also stimulate collagen production and new skin cells. This then allows you to enjoy clearer and smoother skin that also looks more glowing and youthful. It is also worth noting that VI Peel provides a deep peeling effect without the discomfort and downtime associated with other types of peels.
VI Peel has a peel for each skin concern. With 5 custom blends targeted for each patient’s needs, VI Peel helps treat all skin concerns such as aging skin, active acne, acne scarring, melasma, sun damage, keratosis pilaris, and much more. SRC has five different types of VI Peel. The right type for you will depend on the skin concerns you wish to treat or improve.
How does it work
A Vi Peel is relatively painless for most people, but more sensitive types may experience a mild to moderate burning or tingling sensation that is tolerable without topical anesthetic or pain medication. A cooling device may be used to minimise any discomfort.
During a Vi Peel the skin is cleansed and then the solution is evenly applied in two phases: one to penetrate into the skin cells on the skin’s surface, and the other to go deeper into the dermis where toxins and dead skin cells are hiding. The solution dries quickly and you are free to resume daily activities, but must wait 5 hours before washing it off.
Downtime
You will need to let the VI Peel solution rest on your skin. You will go home with it still on your face and wash it after four hours using a cleanser provided by the clinic.
There are no immediate side effects after your VI Peel treatment. Peeling of the skin happens after two to three days and will continue for up to six dayS. It is important that you stay out of the sun and avoid excessive sweating and exercise.
Once the peeling is finished, you’ll notice a clearer and more glowing complexion. You will also see continuous improvements over time. Just make sure to follow the proper aftercare, such as avoiding sun exposure as much as possible during the peeling phase and using sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily. You can return to work and most normal activities immediately.
Noticeable results are realised after the first Vi Peel treatment; however, for ideal results the recommended course of treatment is 3 to 6 treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, followed by annual maintenance treatments.
