Skin Booster

Skin Boosters are injectable hyaluronic acid treatments that improve skin quality from within — increasing hydration, elasticity, and luminosity.

What Are Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters are injectable hyaluronic acid treatments designed purely to improve the quality of your skin — its hydration, tone, elasticity and natural glow — rather than to add volume or reshape your features the way dermal filler does. If you’re looking for a treatment that makes your skin look and feel healthier from within, without changing your facial contours, skin boosters are likely to be exactly what you’re after.

They work by replenishing your skin’s natural reserves of hyaluronic acid, a substance your body produces less of as you age. This decline is one of the main reasons skin can start to look dry, dull or tired even when you’re otherwise healthy. By reintroducing hyaluronic acid in a soft, lightweight form directly into the skin, we help restore the moisture-binding capacity your skin once had, leaving it visibly plumper, smoother and more radiant.

It’s worth being clear about how skin boosters differ from other treatments you may have heard of. Dermal filler is designed to add structure and volume — lifting cheeks, defining lips, or softening deep folds. Skin boosters do none of this; they are spread evenly across the skin’s surface layer rather than placed at specific structural points, so there is no contouring or volumising effect. They also differ from treatments like Profhilo, which use just a handful of bio-aesthetic injection points to stimulate the skin from a few key locations. Skin boosters instead rely on a network of fine micro-injections spread across the whole treatment area, giving a more uniform improvement in hydration and texture.

For many of our clients, skin boosters become a foundational part of their skincare journey — the treatment that makes every other product and procedure work that little bit better, simply because the skin underneath is healthier.

How Does It Work?

During your treatment, we use a series of fine, shallow micro-injections to deliver small droplets of hyaluronic acid evenly across the area being treated. This is most commonly the full face, but skin boosters can equally be used on your neck, décolletage or the backs of your hands — anywhere you’d like to see an improvement in skin quality.

Once injected, the hyaluronic acid integrates with your skin’s own tissue. It draws in and retains moisture from within, which is what gives skin that sought-after dewy, hydrated appearance. Over the course of your treatment plan, it also gradually encourages your skin to produce more of its own collagen, supporting elasticity and firmness from the inside out.

Because the product is distributed across the whole area rather than placed at single points, the improvement you see tends to be soft, even and entirely natural — there is no risk of lumps, asymmetry or an overdone look. Your skin simply looks like a healthier, more luminous version of itself.

What Can I Expect?

Your appointment will typically take around 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish, making it easy to fit around a busy day. Before any injections begin, we’ll apply a numbing cream to the treatment area to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout.

Once your skin is numb, we’ll carry out a series of small, precise injections across the area we’re treating. You may feel a mild pressure or a light scratching sensation as each micro-injection is placed, but most clients find the treatment very tolerable.

One of the things our clients appreciate most about skin boosters is the minimal downtime involved. You might notice small bumps at the injection sites immediately afterwards, along with some mild redness — this is a completely normal part of the healing process and typically settles within a day or two, meaning you can get back to your usual routine almost straight away.

Results & How Long Do They Last?

For the best and most lasting results, we usually recommend a protocol of two to three sessions, spaced around four weeks apart. Skin boosters work progressively, so you’ll likely notice your skin becoming visibly more hydrated and glowing after each session as the hyaluronic acid builds up within the tissue.

Full results are typically visible a few weeks after your final session, once your skin has had time to fully absorb and respond to the treatment. Many clients describe their skin as looking "lit from within" — smoother, plumper and more even in tone.

Once you’ve completed your initial course, the effects of skin boosters generally last around four to six months. After this point, we’d recommend a top-up session to maintain your results and keep your skin looking its best all year round.

Am I a Good Candidate?

Skin boosters are an excellent choice if your skin is feeling dull, dehydrated or generally tired-looking, even if you’re otherwise happy with your facial shape and volume. They’re also a great option for softening the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration, rather than deeper, structural wrinkles.

Many of our clients choose to combine skin boosters with other treatments such as dermal filler or anti-wrinkle injections, using them as part of a broader skin-quality programme. Used this way, skin boosters help ensure the skin itself looks as healthy and radiant as the contours and lines you’ve already addressed elsewhere.

This treatment is suitable for most skin types, and during your consultation we’ll talk through your skin’s specific needs to confirm it’s the right fit for you.

Aftercare

Caring for your skin properly after treatment will help you get the most out of your results. Here’s what we’ll ask you to keep in mind:

  • Avoid touching, rubbing or applying pressure to the injection points for at least 24 hours, to allow the product to settle properly and reduce the risk of irritation.
  • Steer clear of strenuous exercise, alcohol and excessive heat — including saunas, hot baths and sunbeds — for 24 hours, as these can increase swelling or redness at the treatment sites.
  • It’s entirely normal to notice small bumps or mild redness where the injections were placed; these settle quickly, usually within a day or two, and are simply a sign the treatment has been carried out correctly.
  • Stay well hydrated in the days following your treatment — drinking plenty of water supports the hyaluronic acid as it works to hydrate your skin from within, helping you get the best possible results.
